Lucknow: The HIV report of 10 inmates in Azamgarh jail of Uttar Pradesh has been found positive. The news of such a large number of prisoners getting AIDS has stirred the jail administration. In fact, routine investigation of prisoners is being done on the order of the court. So far, 1,322 prisoners out of 2,500 are said to have been examined. In such a situation, the number of positive detainees can increase. It is said that the report of five of the detainees whose reports have been infected is preliminary while symptoms have also been found in 5.  

Around 2,500 prisoners are lodged in the district jail at Itaura. Of these, 1,322 detainees have been tested. The ground slipped under the feet of the administration after the prisoners in the jail were found HIV positive. The jail administration is busy finding out about these prisoners. HIV testing is being done in the new hi-tech jail built in Itaura of the district so that the picture can be clear of how many prisoners are HIV infected. However, no female inmate has tested positive for AIDS at the moment. The samples of the five detainees who have been found to have initial symptoms will be sent to the lab for re-examination. At present, there has been a stir since the report of the prisoners imprisoned in the jail. It is being discussed how HIV infection spread to 10 people.  

HIV tests of the prisoners are being done on the orders of the court. These detainees are kept like ordinary prisoners. They are being given medicines according to viral. If any detainee has any other problem, he will be treated accordingly.
