Dehradun: After the latest postings in the post of President, Leader of Opposition and Deputy Leader of opposition in the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress, the spark of discontent within the party seems to be simmering. Amidst this discontent within the party, the market for many kinds of discussions in political circles remained hot.

There were reports from the same political circles that a group of party MLAs, who were angry with the high command's decision on Wednesday, may hold a meeting. However, senior Congress leaders have denied the news. At the same time, news of the resignations of the executive also kept coming from the districts. On Tuesday, the news of 10 Congress MLAs leaving the party went viral on social media. Subsequently, the newly appointed State President Karan Mahra also contacted the MLAs and tried to find out the real situation. Thereafter, all the big leaders, including the Speaker, refused to have any such meeting.

In fact, there is resentment over the selection of state president Karan Mahra and leader of opposition Yashpal Arya to the post of leader of opposition in the Congress. A section of the party is protesting alleging that Garhwal was ignored in this selection. At the same time, many party workers are said to be upset with the sidelines of Pritam Singh. The biggest resentment is coming out about the leader of the opposition. The fact that Yashpal Arya, who left the BJP and joined the Congress again, has not been given the key responsibility of the leader of the opposition, many MLAs and their supporters are not being digested. At the same time, the posting of Karan Mahra as the state president is being opposed by terming it as a regional imbalance within the Congress itself. Meanwhile, the news of a meeting of angry Congress MLAs on Wednesday created a ruckus in Congress throughout the day. The location of the MLAs was scrutinized throughout the day by media journalists as well as senior leaders of the party. By contacting them, the situation of their resentment was understood. State President Karan Mahra termed such information as misleading. Former leader of opposition Pritam Singh also made it clear that he was not aware of any such meeting.
