Patna: The Bihar government has constituted a team of officers to rescue and bring back 11 minor children of the state. They have been held hostage in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. All the 11 minor children are residents of Panapur village in Bihar's Sheikhpura district. According to the news received, all the 11 minors were first taken to Delhi by a contractor on the pretext of giving them jobs, but later they were taken to Jammu and Kashmir, where they have been held hostage by the contractor.

According to the news received, the contractor has demanded a ransom of Rs 1 lakh from the family members of the minors. Labour Resources Department Minister Surendra Ram also took cognisance of the incident and directed the Sheikhpura collector to look into the matter and ensure the rescue of all 11 minors from Kashmir.

Minister Surendra Ram said that very soon the team officials will go to Jammu and Kashmir to bring back all the 11 minors held hostage by the contractor. Meanwhile, the victim's family members of 11 children met the Sheikhpura collector and SP and submitted a memorandum to them to bring their children back. According to officials, the contractor, originally from Jharkhand, had taken 11 minors from Sheikhpura to Delhi on the pretext of giving them jobs. Sheikhpora collector is also in touch with the Pulwama collector in Kashmir to rescue minor children safely.
