After which, on July 6, the Chinese military platoon saw the Gurkhas bribing in the area and went back and provided information in the headquarters. Four days later, 300 Chinese troops surrounded the 1/8 Gorkha Regiment. Also, on 15 July, the newspaper report claimed that the Chinese had retreated 200 meters from the Galvan Post. However, the time to step back was quite short and he came back. For the next three months, India and China submitted letters of protest to each other. The Gurkhas, led by Nayak Subedar Jung Bahadur, did not leave their land and became a legend in India's military history.
