Srinagar: Security forces have now killed one of the top ten terrorists of the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba and killed his accomplice in the encounter. In Pampore, security forces have killed top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Omar Mushtaq Khande and his fellow terrorist. Mushtaq used to mislead the youth of the Valley and recruit them into the terror group.

He was involved in several terror attacks along with the killing of two police personnel. Inspector General of Kashmir Zone Police Vijay Kumar said top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Omar Mushtaq Khande has been gunned down in the encounter. Omar Mushtaq had killed two policemen Mohammad Yusuf and Suhail Ahmed in Srinagar.

The Inspector-General of Police further said that we are committed to eliminating terrorists. Police said, two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Drangbal area of Pampore today. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists. A joint team of Police, Army 50-RR (Rashtriya Rifles) and CRPF has carried out the operation.
