New Delhi: The death toll of farmers agitating on the Tikri border against agricultural laws brought by the Centre has not stopped. Two more farmers have lost their lives during the farmers' agitation. Both farmers have died of a heart attack. Both the farmers are said to be residents of the Barnala district of Punjab. They have been identified as Rajendra and Karma Singh.

According to protesters at the Tikri border, the deceased farmers had been playing an active role in the farmers' movement for quite some time now. For the last 7 months, farmers have been agitating on different borders of Delhi demanding repeal of three agricultural laws and minimum support price (MSP). Farmers' organizations claim that nearly 500 farmers involved in the agitation have lost their lives so far, but conversations between the central government and farmers are closed.

Farmer leaders say the government is adamant. However, farmers are also adamant about the government's insistence and have built pucca houses on the road. He says he will not return home until the laws are withdrawn. On the other hand, the benefits of agricultural law are being repeatedly counted by the government.
