Agartala: Corona cases are also increasing rapidly in Tripura. The number of infected is increasing every day. At the same time, the total number of patients in the state has increased to 7,663 after the corona reported 236 new infections on Wednesday. In this regard, the health officer has told that 3 infected people have died during this period. Together, 65 people have lost their lives due to corona infection in the state. The officer further informed that the 3 patients who died of corona were all residents of Western Tripura District and died of a heart attack on Tuesday at Agartala Government Medical College.

He has further told that with the arrival of new cases, the number of under-infected people in the state has increased to 2,083 while 5,497 patients have become healthy. According to the officer, 18 Corona patients have migrated to other states. He has further told that 2,28,983 samples have been investigated so far in Tripura. Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, director of the National Health Mission in Tripura, has told that the state government has distributed 185 'oxygen concentrators' to the Corona care centers for better treatment of patients with critical condition.

Another officer said that 824 oximeters have been distributed by the Health Department to patients who are being treated for corona infection by living in isolation at home.
