HYDERABAD: According to an official bulletin released on Tuesday, 149 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Telangana, with the total number of infected people reaching 2.96 lakh. In addition, another patient died from Covid-19, and 1,612 people died.

As on February 8, at 8 pm, 25 cases of infection were reported in greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and nine new cases were reported in Malkajgiri. So far, a total of 2,95,831 cases have been registered and 2,92,415 have been cured. 1,804 patients are being treated in the state.

The Union Health Ministry quoting data till 8 am on Tuesday, said 9,110 new patients diagnosed with infections in the country in the last 24 hours, while 78 infected died. The total number of infected people increased to 1,08,47,304, with the number of people who lost their lives in a single day below 100 for the fourth consecutive day.

1,55,158 patients have died of this virus so far. The number of people without infection reached 1,05,48,521. The rate of infection recovery is 97.25 per cent, while Covid-19 is 1.43 per cent. The number of patients treated for Covid-19 is less than two lakh. According to the data, the number of patients treated for corona virus infection in the country is 1,43,625, which is 1.32% of the total cases.

The number of Covid-19 cases in India crossed 20 lakhs on August 7 last year. After this, 30 lakhs on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. The total number of cases in the country was 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and the total number of cases crossed 1 crore on December 19.
