2G scam verdict: Court find not guilty all 18 accused, cites proofs are inadequate

NEW DELHI: With the unexpected weave, a special CBI court on Thursday found not guilty all accused, together with former telecom minister A Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi, for the loss of INR 30,000 crore 2G spectrum allocation massacre.

Special CBI judge O P Saini marked the verdict, which gave clearance to the accused of all charges in the wicked 2G scam which astounded the UPA-II government under the Dr. Manmohan Singh leadership.

In the verdict, The Court cited that the prosecution has been desolately unsuccessful to prove any of charge. Thus all accused are not found guilty.

 Former CBI Director A P Singh, who is chief investigation officer and led the arrests of A Raja and corporate, expressed bafflement on the release of all accused in the 2G scam case.

 In Delhi Court, All major accused were there for the judgment at the Patiala House courtroom, which has been marked the unexpected drama and striking exposures since November 2011, when the trial in the key 2G suit commenced.

 As per the sources154 witnesses have recorded their statements till now.

The Indian Express reported that till now, 154 witnesses have recorded their statements which consist of Business tycoon Anil Ambani, Tina Ambani, corporate lobbyist Niira Radia and many more. The statements of the witnesses accumulate over 4,400 pages.
