New Delhi: Not everyone is destined to live in a village different from world. India is making its mark in the world in many things. Similarly, some villages in India have also made a name for themselves all over the world. In fact, three villages in India have been nominated for the United Nations World Tourism Organisation Award (United Nations World Tourism Organization Award, UNWTA).

According to reports, Ladhpura Khas (Ladpura Khas Village) of Madhya Pradesh along with Pochampally (Pochampally Village) of Telangana, Kongthong village (Kongthong Village) of Meghalaya (Meghalaya) has been nominated for UNWTA. State CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed happiness over being nominated to the UNWTA of Ladhpura Khas in Madhya Pradesh. He tweeted that it is a matter of pride for us to enter the Best Tourism Village of Ladhpura Khas village in Madhya Pradesh. My best wishes to the entire team of Madhya Pradesh Tourism and administration for this achievement of Ladhpura village. You keep doing better like this.'

Let us tell you that Ladhpur Khas village falls under Orchha tehsil of Tikamgarh district. Chief Secretary, Department of Tourism and Culture, Madhya Pradesh, Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that about 100 villages will be developed for rural tourism in the next five years under the Rural Tourism Scheme.
