Kolkata: A case of death of people due to consumption of spurious liquor has come to light in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas. Four persons died after consuming country liquor in the Baruipur area of the district, while the condition of two others is critical and they were first taken to Baruipur Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. He was later shifted to Chittaranjan Medical College Hospital. Two of them are said to be from Bihar. 

At the same time, police, who reached the spot after getting information about the incident, are trying to identify the deceased. In the beginning, it was discovered that they are all drinking in the same place. After adding water to the wine, there was a sharp burning sensation in the throat. He was then taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The incident was reported on Tuesday night in the Rana area near Krishnamohan railway station under Baruipur police station.

According to local sources, the singing programme of Mansa Tagore has been going on since last Sunday at Rathin Gain's house in the Rana area near the railway gate of Krishnamohan station. Tuesday was the last day of the show. Many guests came to the house on this occasion. In a poultry farm in Rathin Gain, 7-8 people were sitting and drinking. During that time the incident took place.
