52-year-old drunk traffic cop sexually harshed minor boy

A 52-year-old traffic policeman was detained after allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy when he was coming to home from a friend's birthday party in Rajnagar Extension on Tuesday.

Both the minor, who is the son of a government official, and the traffic head constable Ravinder Singh Soon after the episode came to light, the boy's family filed an FIR against the policeman under sections 342 (wrongful parturiency) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke break of peace) of Indian Penal Code and sections 7 and 8 (sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.live in the same high-rise.While Singh has not been arrested year, he has been booked for sexual assault.

According to police, the incident occurred around 11 pm on Tuesday when the class IX student was returning to his apartment.

"When he was passing by Singh's apartment, the cop stopped him and started a conversation with him asking him about his school and in which class he studied. Singh suddenly kissed him on his cheek and asked him to come inside his flat and close the door. The boy rushed to his own flat and told his parents about it," circle officer II (city) Atish Kumar Singh told

"The boy has not received any injuries," he added.
