New year celebrations have been banned in Mumbai. Section 144 has also been imposed in the entire Mumbai. This will start from Thursday and will be applicable till January 7, 2022. Apart from this, any type of program has been prohibited in the city on New Year's in any open place, restaurant, hotel, banquet hall, bars, club etc.

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded 923 fresh cases on Wednesday, which is almost double the 496 found a day earlier. 2,510 cases have been registered in Mumbai while 400 new cases have been reported in Bangalore, 540 in Kolkata and 294 in Chennai. Apart from this, for the first time after almost six months, more than 100 new cases have been found in Rajasthan. There is also an increase in Omicron cases, 5 new cases of Omicron have been found in Karnataka while a new case has also been found in Punjab. Restrictions have been started in many states of the country and in some states, it is being considered.

The number of corona infected is increasing daily in the Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. On Wednesday, 55 new corona infected were found. A total of 7233 samples were tested on this day. 11 patients were discharged after recovery. Now the figure of active patients has increased to 211. A total of 31 lakh 22 thousand 756 samples have been tested so far. Out of these, 1 lakh 53 thousand 686 samples have come positive.
