After suffering mental and physical torture in different jails of Pakistan for nearly 15 years, Ramchandra (58), a resident of village Bhawanipur Kashichak in Patna has returned to the country. Pakistan Ranger Officer Mohammad Faizal handed over Ramachandra to BSF officer Anil Chauhan at the Attari-Wagah border. The BSF examined the document and handed it over to the Kahangarh Police, the Punjab Police outpost located on the Attari Marg border.

Looking at Ramchandra, it seemed that he has suffered a lot mentally and physically. He could not even speak properly. According to the sources of security agencies posted on the attic, his mental condition was not good. He had accidentally entered Pakistan from Dera Baba Nanak border, where he was arrested by Pakistani Rangers. Punjab Police Protocol Officer Arun Pal Singh posted on the Attari border said that on Wednesday, BSF officers told him that Pakistan Rangers were sending an Indian. Ramchandra was also having trouble speaking. His family will reach there in 2 days.

After completing the documentation, he will be handed over to the family. The family has said that Ramchandra is married and has two children. According to the family, Ramchandra went missing from the house 15 years ago, when he was 43 years old. He used to do farming. Following the order of BSF officers, Punjab Police did not produce Ramchandra in court. According to the protocol officers, since the discussion has been done with his family, now the formalities of handing him over to the family will be completed.
