On Tuesday a police complaint has been filed against Ranveer Singh over Hurting the modesty of women, police in Chembur registered a case against Ranveer under section 292 (dealing with obscene materials falls within this exception thereby addressing the issue of public decency and morality), 293 (obscene objects to young person) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) including 67 (A) of the Information Technology Act.
Ranveer in an earlier interview said It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances, I’ve been damn naked. You can see my soul. How naked is that? That’s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a shit. It’s just that they get uncomfortable."
This is not the first case in which an actor was booked for obscene content. Before this various big names including Akshay Kumar, Amir Khan, and various others landed for going against moral values. Let’s have a look at these Actors.

Amir Khan: Amir Khan‘s PK was in Controversy for various reasons one of which is a nude poster with a radio landed him in controversy.  The civil court said that it would frame issues in a suit filed against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and would seek a ban on his film PK on the ground of obscenity. The film's publicity poster showed Khan in the buff on railway tracks which was stated as, 'obscene and vulgar'. Plaintiff Hemant Patil wanted the removal of objectionable scenes from the film and a ban on the poster.
Milind Soman: Milind posted a nude picture from the beach and captioned it, “Happy Birthday to me…55 and running,” he wrote in the caption of the picture, which was taken by his wife, Ankita Konwar. Soon, the South Goa Police filed a case against Soman for “obscenity” under Section 294 IPC and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, following a complaint by an organization called Suraksha Manch.
Shilpa Shetty: Shilpa Shetty was a part of the Bigg Brother reality show the actress also won the show. But when Hollywood actor Richard Gere kissed Shilpa Shetty Kundrra, the actress was charged with an obscenity case in 2007 in Alwar, Rajasthan for an alleged offense of obscenity scene at an event. The actress was allegedly hugged and kissed by Richard Gere in public.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna: A complaint was filed by a social activist against Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Kumar, and the organizers alleging that the act promoted obscenity. An FIR was registered by the Vakola Police in Mumbai under Section 294 of the IPC, following which both Khanna and Kumar were arrested. Akshay Kumar was walking the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week at Grand Hyatt hotel in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Seated in the front row was his wife, whom he approached and asked to unbutton his jeans but Twinkle Khanna hesitated for a moment, she went ahead 
Mallika Sherawat: Murder fame actress Mallika Sherawat once landed in controversy for obscene dance. She was issued a bailable warrant in connection with an obscenity case. The case was filed against Mallika over her 'obscene' dance performance at a New Year's Eve party which was held in Mumbai. Actress in her career various times faced these types of situations.

Mamta Kulkarni: Once the actress posed for a bold photoshoot for a magazine cover wearing only jeans. The picture was taken aesthetically and was published on the cover in September 1993. However, it caused controversy at the time. There were protests outside Kulkarni’s home in Mumbai.
