Shillong: There has been a terrible incident in Meghalaya. Here a bus travelling from Tura to Shillong fell into the Ringdi river. Six passengers have been reported died in the tragic accident so far. The incident is said to have taken place late at 12 pm. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Rescue operations are being carried out to save other passengers.

According to media reports, four bodies have been recovered from the river, while two bodies are still trapped inside the bus. According to police information, 16 injured have been admitted to the hospital. The incident took place on the Nongshram Bridge, which is located on the border of East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills district. More information is currently awaited...
