India going to celebrate 70th Republic Day on 26 january, 2019 (Saturday).It is the day when Constitution of india came into force and on that same day Declaration of Independence was promulgated by Indian National Congress.
This Year Celebration of 70th Republican going to be important in many aspects, one of them is that South African’s President Cyril Ramaphosa will be tha Chief Guest of parade . The visit of the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade is similar to a State visit, but given the ceremony involved, it is the highest honour that we can accord to our guest in protocol terms The Chief Guest is given the ceremonial guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan, he attends the reception in the evening hosted by the President of India he lays a wreath at Rajghat, there is a banquet in his honour, a lunch hosted by the Prime Minister, and calls by the Vice-President and the External Affairs Minister
The centrepiece of the visit is that he accompanies the President, flanked by the horse-mounted President’s Bodyguards, to the saluting base on Rajpath from where the President reviews the Republic Day parade. The visit is full of symbolism — it portrays the Chief Guest as participating in India’s pride and happiness, and reflects the friendship between the two peoples represented by the President of India and the Chief Guest.
However, Rehearsals for the Republic Day parade 2019 have been started at Rajpath by all the contingents of Armed Forces and full dress rehearsal will be held on 23rd January. Around 600 children will also perform in the parade at Rajpath.
Republic Day Parade 2019 will be centre of attraction of Event and witness the inclusion of M777 Howitzer and K9 Vajra, the self propelled gun which are the latest artilleries inducted in the Indian Army. T-90 tanks, SU-30, Mig 29, Jaguar aircrafts will also be major attraction of the parade.
It will be the first time that a woman officer would be leading the Army Services Corps in the 2019 Republic Day parade. The Daredevils Motorcycle Team will also include a women officer in their team this year and also will be the first time in history that all women contingent of Assam Rifles, which is one of the oldest paramilitary forces of India, will take part in the Republic Day parade this year.
Republic Day 2019 Parade Tickets are available from 07th January to 25th January and from 27th January to 28th January for Beating Retreat ceremony at various locations and sales counters in Delhi.
