Dehradun, In a tragic incident, utility vehicle carrying 15 persons fell into a gorge at Akhori village in Tehri district on friday in which eight persons were killed. The vehicle was moving from Ghansali when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Tehri Senior Superintendent of Police Narayan Singh said, that the accident occurred 30 km from Ghansali towards Akhori.

Driver with four women and three man were killed in an accident while seven others have been injured, six of whom have been admitted to a hospital in Ghansali.

Mr. Singh said, “One person was critically injured and was taken to a hospital in Dehradun”.

“The accident took place at 3 p.m. The bad condition of roads in the Akhori area could be a reason behind the accident. An enquiry is on,” added Mr. Singh.
