Mumbai: Bollywood diva and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid her homage to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and shared the moments when she too had the opportunity of visiting late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The actress took to photo sharing website Instagram and posted a number of pictures with the former Prime Minister where both can be seen sharing some good moments. She captioned the memorable photo as, "Respect, Rest In Peace."

According to the reports the photos have been clicked in 2000. Aishwarya is seen standing next to the former Prime Minister alongside late veteran actress Bollywood “hawa hawai” Sridevi.

Earlier, several others celebes, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Hrithik Roshan, Lata Mangeshkar paid their tribute to Vajpayee ji and remembered him as the gem which the nation has lost.

Worth mention here the 10th prime minister of India, Vajpayee ji took his last breath on August 16. The 93-year-old passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) following a prolonged illness.  Atal ji was cremated with full state honor at Smriti Sthal in New Delhi on August 17.

Atal ji led the National Democratic Alliance government from 1998 to 2004 who was the first-ever member of the Bhartiya Janta Party to become India's Prime Minister.
