Chennai:DMK leader Kanimozhi met people gathered outside Chennai's Kauvery hospital where her father and former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi is undergoing treatment. The hospital stated a decline in his medical condition yesterday.

DMK president M Karunanidhi has been in Kauvery Hospital since July 28 .Chennai's Kauvery Hospital issued the medical bulletin of DMK Chief M Karunanidhi saying that a decline in his medical condition.

 “There has been a decline in the medical condition of Kalaignar Dr M Karunanidhi, DMK President and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Maintaining his vital organ functions continue to remain a challenge considering his age-related ailments,” the statement issued by Executive Director Dr Aravindan Selvaraj said.

Following this heartbroken news, DMK cadres and well-wishers gathered outside the hospital in large numbers. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari accompanied by BJP Tamil Nadu president Tamilisai Soundararajan also visited Kauvery Hospital on Monday to make inquiries about the health of the ill veteran leader.

Meanwhile Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president S Thirunavukkarasar also visited the hospital.

 Worth mention here The DMK supremo was admitted to the hospital following a decline in his blood pressure last month. On July 31, the hospital said the leader would require an extended period of hospitalization due to “decline” in his general health; however his imperative parameters have normalized.
