HYDERABAD: Telugu actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nandamuri Harikrishna passed away on Tuesday after sustaining critical injuries in a road accident. He met with accident near Nalgonda, Telangana. Unfortunately in December 2014, Harikrishna’s son Janakiram also died in an accident at same place (Nalgonda, not far  the spot from where Harikrishna met with the accident today morning).

According to the reports, the accident took place on Narketpally-Addanki highway in Nalgonda district. He was straight away rushed to the Kamineni Hospital and where he was declared dead by doctors.

Harikrishna is the son of former AP Chief Minister and TDP founder, NT Rama Rao.

Worth mention here pictures of the injured senior leader in a bloody shirt, lying on the roadside, started doing the rounds on all platforms of social media on early Tuesday morning.

He was 61 year old. He had supported CBN during the 1995 coup, when he was the minister in his cabinet and later an MP.

According to The Indian Express Doctors at Kamineni stated that Harikrishna was brought with severe head injuries and the bleeding could not be stopped and he died on at 7:30 am.

Harikrishna's son Tarak popularly known as Jr NTR is a well-liked Telugu actor.
