Sabarimala protest LIVE updates: Two women return to Kerala shrine, protestors block entry

Kerala: Sabarimala clash remained unsettled on day three as the shrine in Kerala located on top of hill Protests continued and turned violent. Earlier the portals of the temple were opened for everyone, including menstruating women in the age group of 10-50 after the Supreme Court verdict.

In early morning Journalist, Kavitha Jakkal of Hyderabad based Mojo TV and woman activist Rehana Fatima is now returning from Sabarimala who put effort to enter the temple. On their return, Kerala IG said that police have told the female devotees about the situation and they will now be going back. Now Police are pulling pack as they have decided to return.

Worth mention here residence of activist Rehana Fatima smashed up by protestors. Meanwhile Devaswam minister asked the women to return, asserting Sabarimala is not the place to prove a point.

Following the Sabarimala clash Inspector General S Sreejith said to devotees that they will not create any issue in Sabarimala and don't want a confrontation with the devotees. He added that cops are only following the law.

He asserted “I will be discussing with the higher authorities and brief them on the situation”.

On the clash of hilly top shrine The Travancore Devaswam Board (TDB) stated that the women journalists should be returned and has said that the women journalists will not be permitted to enter the temple.
