Last month Me Too Movement took internet to storm as many women has shared their ordeal of sexual harassment. To much shock to all the fans and industry people, Alok Nath, had been accused of rape by filmmaker and writer Vinta Nanda. She shared her story on her Facebook page on October 8. She had alleged that Nath raped her more than once 19 years ago after he was sacked from their iconic show Tara for misbehaving with its lead actress.

An FIR had been registered under section 376 of the IPC (rape) against Alok by the Oshiwara police after recording Vinta's statement. Nanda also added that she will have to go for a physical medical test now. "I have to go for a physical medical test now, twenty years later. I read in the paper today where they've said I have to undergo a medical check and only then they will be able to proceed with the case," Nanda said. She further said that back then she didn't the courage to go to the police and complaint about the rape. Nanda kept silent for years and all that came out when Me Too in India started gaining momentum.
