Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated Diwali with the Vantangiya community in Gorakhpur, and declared five Vantangiya villages as revenue villages.

 The Chief Minister Yogi, on the auspicious occasion, distributed sweets, fruits and textbooks among the children.as well as wheelchairs to the specially-abled Vantangiyas.

The chief minister also intended for officials to present proposals before the state government for building primary schools, aaganwaadi centers, sports fields, pure drinking water arrangements, cremation spot and grazing land available to the society.

"Deepawali is a festival which indicates victory over falsehood (asatya), injustice (anyaay) and exploitation (Shoshan)," Yogi said.

For the moment of Diwali, in Etawah, Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, President Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav were seen with great camaraderie on the occasion. Mulayam said, "all is well and there is no more any dispute in the family".

In Uttar Pradesh, this Diwali celebration is significantly prosperous as the BJP returning to power in the state after a long exile of15 years. The state officials had done grand arrangements ahead of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Ayodhya on Wednesday.

Reports said that Adityanath announced developmental projects worth Rs 133 crore.

Deep Mahotsav took place in Ayodhya for making Record to lit 1.71 lakh earthen lamps on ghats of Sarayu River.
