A forum of scientists and doctors on Sunday urged the government not to impose lockdown or any kind of rule that could harm the poor or threaten their lives amidst growing cases of coronaviruses. The Forum has urged the administration to raise health services to globally acceptable standards by increasing the number of hospitals, beds, and human resources.

Dr. Harjit Singh Bhatti, President of Progressive Medicos and Scientists Forum, said that some leaders are attending big religious gatherings and political rallies. Also warning others of the lockdown, which is beyond logic and shows the lack of seriousness towards the purpose while confusing individuals.

The forum said that all medical care and vaccination-related to coronavirus should be completely in accordance with scientific principles and all citizens of the country irrespective of their socio-economic conditions should be vaccinated free of cost. Daily surprising figures of coronaviruses are coming out in India. The pace of corona infection in India is now increasing rapidly. This can be estimated on the basis of the number of cases reported daily. Corona cases were reported the most in the country on Friday and in other countries.
