A family of 13 members have been living under a strange yet unique circumstance of house being spread over the two states-Maharashtra and Telangana. This family has been living like this for years without any disputes or issues causing a ruckus. 

The owner of the family Uttam Pawar tells that their house been spread over both the states, in a 10 room space. He is living their with his brother where his 4 rooms coming under Maharashtra and his brother's 4 rooms comes under Telangana, having his kitchen in Telanagana.

This strange house comes in Maharajaguda village in Simavarti Jivati tehsil of Chandrapur district where this family lives. The owner says that they pay taxes for both the states and simultaneously enjoys the advantages of the schemes from both the states. 

The land where they live has been divided into two states when the border dispute has been settled in 1969, which makes them pay the taxes to both gram panchayatas. Uttam Pawar also owns vehicles with both Maharashtra and Telangana number plates registered with the both states transport authorities. 

As per the news, these villagers living in the 14 villages are legally a part of Maharashtra but the Telangana government has continuously been attracting people of these villages towards them with their unique benefitting schemes. The border issue between the two states has still not resolved, tension between them is still high along with the Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue, where the Belagavi incident has requires the intervention of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The people residing in these villages have been enjoying benefits from both the state welfare schemes and habitation witnesses developmental activities taken by both the states. To benefit the people over these villages governments of both states Maharashtra and Telangana has provided them with drinking water schemes, electricity and individual household washrooms, housing schemes and much more. 

The Election Commission during the 2019 elections has made an announcement to club parts to both states which make the residents unhappy with this decision. 

The 14 villages that came under both the states are Maharajguda, Mukadamguda, Paramdoli, Paramdoli Tanda, Kotha, Lendijala, Shankarlodhi, Padmavati, Antapur, Indiranagar, Yesapur, Palasguda, Bholapathar and Lendiguda.
