Hyderabad: The festival of Lord Ganesha is currently being celebrated in the country. Ganesh pandals are decorated in many cities including Mumbai. Immersion of idols of Lord Ganesha started after 10 days on Friday (September 9). Meanwhile, Shri Ganesh laddus have been auctioned in Hyderabad. The weight of this laddu was 21 kg. The laddu has been auctioned for Rs 24.60 lakh.

A 21-kg laddu offered to the famous Balapur Ganpati God in Hyderabad has been auctioned. This laddu has been sold for a record Rs 24.60 lakh. This year, laddu has been won by Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) leader From the Balapur area Wangeti Lakshma Reddy by making this highest bid. In 2021, a bid of Rs 18.90 lakh was made for laddus. In 2019, a bid of Rs 17.60 lakh was made for laddus.

Earlier, in 2018, it was auctioned for Rs 16.60 lakh. In 2020, the auction was cancelled due to the Corona pandemic and the Balapur Ganesh laddu was handed over to CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). The history of auctioning laddus is very old and it has been going on since 1994. The first laddu was bought by a devotee for Rs 450 and since then the tradition has been going on. Bidders from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participate in the auction to get the laddu. Many people believe that it brings good luck and prosperity.
