Bhandara: A schoolgirl studying in Khairi, Bhandara district of Maharashtra has set a blazing example of how it is important to pay homage to your deceased family members by living out what they most wanted you to, rather than losing focus while grieving the loss. A Class 10th schoolgirl, Pranati Khemraj Meshram lost her father to cancer right during her 10th board exams. The father was an employee of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation and left behind a wife and two children (a boy and a girl - Pranati).

Pranati could not forget that her father had instilled in her a deep faith that only education can alter one's fate and future for good. But the inspiring man died of cancer on late on Monday 4 March, right as her board exams were going on. The next day on March 5 was her English paper. The shocked family was trying to handle the loss and also arrange for the funeral which was to be held the next day. Meanwhile, Pranali's school teachers (from Bhandara's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya in Lakhandur)  learnt of her loss and came to visit her. School Principal SK Khobragade, Supervisor RM Mulay, teachers Sanjay Pradhan and SW Diwate came to Pranali's house on a condolence visit. The teachers expressed sadness over the grave loss but encouraged Pranali to 'go ahead and fulfil the deaf father's dream' of continuing her education.
