Bhubaneswar: The news of the death of a young man has been reported from a mobile phone burst while charging in Odisha. The incident is from the Paradip Atharbanki area of Jagatsinghpur district. The deceased youth is said to be Kuna Pradhan of Ranpur village in Nayagarh district. According to the information, Kuna was working as a laborer in the construction of a temple in the office premises of the Jagannath Truck Honors Association for the last two months.

At the time of the incident, he fell asleep putting his mobile phone in charge. At some point in the night, the mobile phone got blasted. The exact time of the blast is not yet known. The incident came to light on Monday morning when some other sleeping laborers woke up and saw smoke coming out of Kuna's room. When the laborers went inside the room, Kuna's face and other body parts were burnt. Police were immediately informed about this. On receiving information, the police reached the spot and took the body of Kuna and took it for postmortem.

Regarding the incident, Jagatsinghpur district Superintendent of Police (SP) R Prakash has told the media that a case has been registered under the section of unnatural death. We are waiting for the postmortem report for action. He said that a team of scientists was also sent to the spot, who collected evidence from the spot. The SP said that it would be clear only after getting a detailed report that the incident was accidental or something.
