Lucknow: A shocking incident comes to light in which man who was accused of blasphemy of the Quran by entering a mosque in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh has been arrested. The name of the accused is being told as Taj Mohammad, who is a resident of Bawujai locality, 3 km from the mosque. Shahjahanpur Police has released the photographs of the accused and told that the accused Taj Mohammad (Abba's name Yusuf), who damaged the religious book, was arrested within 24 hours.

S Anand, has informed that the accused's mental condition is not stable. His family members have also been called along with the city's Imam, Maulana Huzoor Ahmad Manjari and some other religious Ulemas have also been summoned to the police station. IG Ramit Sharma told that the accused is talking deluded during interrogation. On the question of why the religious texts were burnt, Taj Mohammad has told that, 'It is not me but my soul has burnt it.'

Taj Mohammad says that he doesn't do any work roams here and there. He was upset as his family was not getting him married, due to this he was distraught. In this case, the plaintiff Hafiz Haseeb told that after this incident tension has prevailed in the area. Namaz was offered in the morning as usual, but people did not come in such large numbers to offer Namaz.

On Wednesday evening, two youths entered the mosque and burnt the Quran kept there. When Imam Hafiz Nadeem and others reached there for seeing the holy book burnt, they told the Imam of the mosque about this. A crowd gathered in the area around 8 pm. Angry youths tore up the holdings of the BJP and set it on fire. After this, heavy police force including SP, SP City, SP Rural, who reached the spot on receiving the information, lathi-charged the crowd to disperse the crowd.  Now situation is under control as Taj Mohammad is arrested.
