Mumbai: Efforts made from European country Ireland to India's Mumbai and then Dhule saved the life of a young man. This young man intended to commit suicide by going live on Facebook. Facebook's headquarters in Ireland informed Mumbai Police that 23-year-old Dnyaneshwar Patil was going to commit suicide and was streaming live on Facebook. Within 50 minutes of receiving this information, the police team reached Patil's residence and rescued him. Patil has been admitted to the hospital, where he is now safe and his treatment is on.

At 8.10 pm on Sunday night, Mumbai Cyber Police DCP Rashmi Karandikar received a call from the Facebook headquarters in Ireland that a young man was going to commit suicide and was streaming it on Facebook. The Facebook headquarters also shared screenshots. Patil was crying badly and kept a blade on his neck. Mumbai cyber police officers took this matter very seriously and started searching for the young man's location. The entire cyber team started getting information about Patil. Within 20 minutes, the team got Patil's pin-point location.

DCP Rashmi Karandikar said that the pinpoint location was a very important and difficult task. We got to this location within 10 minutes. We had the building of Dhule and the name of the young man. We immediately informed the senior police officers of Dhule at 8.30 pm. At 9 pm, Dhule officials reached Patil's residence and rescued him. At that time, blood was coming out of Patil's neck, he was immediately rescued and taken to hospital where his condition is now out of danger.
