The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced on Wednesday that its Gujarat organisational structure has been dissolved with an aim to restructure the party unit to beat the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming State Assembly elections.

"All other party positions have been disbanded, except for the AAP Gujarat president's position, and a broader and more powerful structure will be announced soon in its stead as part of the poll plan," the party's State Chief Gopal Italia told reporters here.

Italia mentioned that with this statement, all party positions at the state, district, and taluka levels and frontal organisations, are dissolved.

"The Gujarat chapter of the AAP has been dissolved. The office of State President will remain vacant. The AAP is organising itself down to the booth level. An active and powerful organisation that would be announced shortly, "Sandeep Pathak, the party's state in-charge, said in a Hindi tweet.

"The Aam Aadmi Party will put an end to the BJP's 27-year spell of misrule. The Indian National Congress (INC) is no longer in existence. Arvind. Kejriwal is now the only hope "Sandeep Pathak added.
