New Delhi: Taking to his official Twitter handle on the micro blogging website, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday tweeted that the doorstep delivery of ration has been permitted.

He informed that all the protests to the proposal have been over-ruled and asserted that the Food Department has been issued the directions to start its implementation straight away. He also instructed the department to keep him posted on the development on a daily basis.

Here is Kejriwal tweet: "Approved Doorstep Delivery of Rations. Over ruled all objections to the proposal. Directed Food Dept to start its implementation immediately. (sic)" In another tweet, he said, "Directed dept to keep me informed of daily progress (sic)."

Worth mention here the doorstep delivery of ration was one of the proposals that the AAP government wanted the Lt Governor Anil Baijal to grant.

It is noted that when the demand was not approved by the L-G, CM Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia and two other AAP leaders held a Dharana at L-G's residence-cum-office at Raj Niwas.

There were two other demands that raised the Power tussle between the Delhi government and L-G. The issue was taken to the Supreme Court and On June 4, the Apex court bench put a stop to the on-going power clash in the national capital Delhi and ruled in favour of the Kejriwal-led AAP government.
