When the convoy of Amartullah Saleh was going to enter the office of the Vice President, a bomb was planted under the bridge. The IED was so powerful that gas cylinders in nearby shops exploded. In this attack, 15 people have died and 50 others have been reported injured. This has been told in an intelligence report. Although Saleh is safe.

After the attack, Saleh released a video message in which he said, "The attack happened at 7.30 am, while he was going to work. The place where the suicide attack took place was narrow". Apart from this, he thanked the security personnel present for their prompt action. This is not the first time, but it has also happened before. Former Intelligence Chief Saleh escaped during a murder in his office last year. 20 people were killed in that massacre.
