Honda is launching a new 2020 Africa Twin Adventure sports motorcycle in India, amid preparations for a new financial year in the auto sector and the BS6 engine standards going into effect in India from 1 April. The bike has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 15.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This price is of the manual transmission variant. The DCT variant has been priced at Rs 16.10 lakh. There are two variants available in the Africa Twin lineup, but only the adventure sports variant of this bike is available in India.
For your information, the old model of this Honda bike is also present in the market but the new model of Honda Africa Twin is 5KG lighter than the old one. The new Africa Twin comes with two transmission options as before. This bike is available in 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed DCT unit. The new Africa Twin has been launched with a more powerful engine than before. This bike now has a 1084cc engine that generates 100hp power and 105Nm torque.
If we talk about its features, then there are 4 riding modes in the new Africa Twin. The bike comes with Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off Road modes. Apart from this, two additional riding modes will also be available in the bike. Talk about the fuel tank, the fuel tank capacity of the bike is 24.8 liters. Talking about the electronics package, the 2020 Honda Africa Twin has Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which is now powered by the new 6 Axis Inertial Measurement Unit. The bike is equipped with three levels of wheelie control, 7 levels of HSTC and three levels of electronic engine braking.
