Patna: There is big news for students studying in Bihar. After about 22 years, the syllabus is going to change in all the universities of Bihar. All universities will now have the same syllabus. The new syllabus of undergraduate courses may be applicable from the next academic year. The Bihar Education Department has taken this decision in view of the further career of the students. According to the Higher Education Department, now the new syllabus will be made keeping in mind the examinations of NET, BPSC and UPSC.

According to Director of Higher Education Prof. Rekha Kumari, the universities of the state will be taught under CBCS in the new session, which means the choice best credit system in which students will now be given grades and credits instead of numbers. It is the responsibility of Raj Bhavan to change the syllabus. The request letter for this has been sent to Raj Bhavan.

Raj Bhavan will complete the process of changing the syllabus by forming a committee of vice-chancellors. Thereafter, Raj Bhavan will send a new undergraduate syllabus to all universities. Universities will be allowed to add 10 to 20 per cent of local content on their behalf. Let us tell you that there was no change in the undergraduate syllabus in the universities of Bihar for the last 22 years. Due to this, the syllabus of post-graduation has been changed three times.
