Shimla: After opposition from MLA Balbir to divide Amb of the city of Una in Himachal Pradesh into two panchayats instead of turning it into a Nagar Panchayat. After meeting CM Jairam, the government has issued a notification to make Amb a panchayat. Significantly, BJP MLA Balbir Singh Chaudhary became angry with the government for not giving it the status of Nagar Panchayat.

To express the displeasure, he reached Shimla on Tuesday to meet Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. After meeting the Chief Minister, a notification has been issued regarding the formation of the Nagar Panchayat Amb, and this whole case has also calmed down, but in the meantime, the news of MLA's resignation went viral on social media which he has rejected outright.

Earlier Chief Minister Jairam Thakur had also announced to make Amb a panchayat, but on Monday, after the notification was issued to divide Amb panchayat into two panchayats, public's anger arose. On this matter, BJP MLA Balbir Chaudhary reached Shimla on Tuesday morning and met the MLA. He raised this matter. Subsequently, notification was issued to make Amb a Nagar panchayat. At the moment nothing has been clearly determined.
