There has been a huge explosion in Jafar Express going from Peshawar to Quetta city of the neighboring country. In this blast, 2 passengers died on the spot, while 4 passengers are said to be injured. The blast took place when the Quetta-bound Jafar Express was leaving Chichavatni railway station.

Pakistan Railways spokesman Babar Ali has told the media that the blast took place after a cylinder burst in bogie number 4 of Jafar Express. A passenger aboard the train had brought a cylinder with him. He hid the cylinder in the bathroom. The explosion took place in this cylinder itself. After the incident, the rescue team along with the bomb squad team also reached the spot. Seriously injured passengers are being admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. The explosion was tremendous, so there is a possibility of increasing the number of dead.
