The second phase of the 2021-22 season of the I-League football tournament is scheduled to begin in Kolkata from April 22, where spectators are going to be allowed in selected stands and areas of the stadium.

There was a ban on visitors to the stadium due to the Covid epidemic and this will be the first time in two years that spectators will also be present in the stadium during I-League matches. This match is going to be played at three venues Kalyani Municipal Stadium, Naihati Stadium and Mohun Bagan Ground.

I-League Chief Executive Officer Sunando Dhar has said that, 'Keeping in view the health parameters set by the Government of West Bengal, Hero I-League is going to allow fans in selected stands and areas in stadiums for 2021-22.' He has said that, 'However, we will continuously review the situation on a regular basis and are going to work according to the health standards set by the concerned authorities.'
