Mumbai: A fire broke out at a civil hospital in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. At least 10 people have been reported died in the massive fire that broke out in the hospital ICU. Several people have been engulfed in the fire. 13-14 persons are reported to have been injured due to the fire. 17 persons were treated in ICU. These 17 persons are corona infected. Treatment has been initiated for the persons who were caught in the fire.

More than 20 persons have been shifted to another nearby hospital. The death toll is expected to rise. The cause of the fire is being ascertained. Ahmednagar Patron Minister Hasan Mushreef confirmed the death toll to 10. The condition of 1 person is said to be critical. Minister Hasan Mushrif has called for strict action against those responsible for the accident.

Serious concerns are being expressed as the same fire broke out in the ICU of the hospital. Efforts are being made to douse the fire with the help of hospital personnel and local people. Meanwhile, a fire department team has also reached the spot. The work of extinguishing the fire is underway. The incidents of fire in civil hospitals in the state are not going down. Once again, civil hospitals have questioned the fire management arrangements.
