Lucknow: In the country's most important political province, Congress has appointed a new commander. The party's performance in Uttar Pradesh in the last assembly and Lok Sabha elections was extremely disappointing. Therefore, the Congress has started a new reshuffle in the state. Congress leader in the Uttar Pradesh Legislature, Ajay Kumar Lallu has been appointed as the new president of the state. A 41-member Pradesh Congress Committee has also been announced with him. Which has a focus on youth. Two special committees have also been formed involving senior leaders, who will advise the Congress General Secretary and prepare a strategic action plan.

The high command has given the responsibility of the leader of the Congress Legislature Party to MLA Aradhana Mishra 'Mona'. With this, Raj Babbar's term in UP Congress also ended. He was the state president for nearly three years. The new state executive has different incharge of eastern and western UP. There are a total of 4 Vice-Presidents, 12 General Secretaries and 24 Secretaries. Ajay Kumar Lallu, who was made state president, has been elected for the second time MLA from Tumkuhiraj assembly constituency of Kushinagar.

He also played a major role in Priyanka Gandhi's Ganga Yatra before the Lok Sabha elections. He is known for his struggling image. He did not lag behind in the struggle to get justice for the rape victim of Unnao and Shahjahanpur. In the Umbha massacre of Sonbhadra, they were fully together during the movement of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He has highlighted the problems of flood victims in and outside the House. Under the one-man-one-post arrangement, Lallu will relinquish the responsibility of the leader of the Legislature party. The politics of caste is also seen behind his election. Lallu comes from the dominant OBC community in the state.
