Lucknow: A case has been registered against Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav for breaking the rules of the code of conduct. The Election Commission has termed it as a violation of the Model Code of Conduct.

In a statement issued by the Sub-Collector Etawah, it was said that under the Model Code of Conduct, Section 130 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and Section 144 of the CrPC have been violated.
