The third season of Kapil Sharma's comedy programme, The Kapil Sharma Show, will premiere on September 10. In one of the first few episodes, which are already being teased in a new promo, Akshay Kumar will accuse Kapil Sharma of being a jinx who affects everything he does, including his recent failures at the box office.

Along with Rakul Preet Singh, Akshay visited the The Kapil Sharma Show sets. They'll be seen together promoting their movie, Cuttputlli. On September 2, the movie aired on Diseny Hotstar.

In a Sony promo, Kapil welcomes Akshay and Rakul to the stage. He queries Akshay, "Paji, how do you turn a year younger on every birthday?" How do you get a year younger every birthday, brother? Akshay responds angrily, "Ye aadmi itni nazar lagata hai sab cheezo pe." a movie, a person, me nazar daal di... This man says, "Ab filmein nahi chal rahi koi," cursing me, my movies, my money, and everything I do. Currently, none of my films are doing well)," which made everyone, including Kapil, laugh.

Just a few weeks ago, Akshay surprised his fans by releasing the teaser for his OTT movie, Cuttputlli. His fourth movie of the year is this one. Raksha Bandhan, his most recent theatrical release, didn't do well at the box office. At the domestic box office, it made a total of 44 crore rupees in its lifetime. His historical drama Samrat Prithviraj suffered a similar fate and amassed a lifetime domestic box office revenue of 68 crore. Bachchhan Paandey, his first movie of the year, also made a domestic total of about 50 crores.

In the meantime, Kapil is making a comeback with the third season of his programme after taking a break to film a Nandita Das-directed movie. The movie, Zwigato, stars Shahana Goswami as his wife and Kapil as a food delivery man.
