Prayagraj: A final hearing on the petition challenging the conversion ordinance of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh will be held today (January 7) in the Allahabad High Court. The ordinance has been challenged in the court, saying it is against the constitution and unnecessary. The possibility of misuse of the ordinance has also been expressed in this petition. However, the UP government in its reply has mandated the ordinance for law and order.

In such a case, a Division Bench headed by the Chief Justice can pronounce the verdict in this case today. Three separate petitions have been filed against the conversion ordinance of the Yogi government of UP, which is to be heard in the High Court today. The UP government filed its reply on this petition on 5 January. In which the government had said that this ordinance has been brought in view of law and order.

In the petitions challenging the conversion ordinance, the ordinance is said to be against the constitution and unnecessary, and there is also a possibility of its misuse. According to the petitioner, a specific community can be targeted by this ordinance. The petitioners will also get an opportunity to present their case at the hearing. The court will give its final verdict after hearing the arguments of both the parties. The case can start hearing in the court around 12:00 pm.
