Television actress Aman Sandhu, who has worked in shows like Savdhan India and Crime Patrol, had recently been tricked and seven fraudulent fund transfers amounting to Rs 2.05 lakhs were carried out from three of her bank accounts, has got her money back.

Thanking the Mumbai police for helping out in getting her money back, Aman wrote: “Hi everyone! This is to inform you guys that I have got my money back (2.24 Lac). I m really happy today and I would like to thank Oshiwara police who made this happen and taking all the efforts possible that too so fast. Whenever something like this happens to anyone of us, we all panic at first, and many of us have this pre conceived notion about our police that they will not help properly. In this situation, talking with my experience we all should just trust the police and show some patience and not panic as they are the only ones who will help and get us out of this kind of situation.Special thanks to (PSI)

The transactions took place soon after she clicked on a WhatsApp link that she thought was a link to get a doctor’s appointment for her mother on July 6.The actor had linked her bank accounts to the WhatsApp payment feature.

Aman further said that it all happened after she clicked the WhatsApp link that she received and thought it was a doctor’s appointment for her mother. Sandhu told a media person that “I did not share any banking details or one-time passwords. Still, money was siphoned from my three bank accounts. The fraudster kept assuring me the money will be reversed but it didn’t happen before I realized it, I had been duped. The fraudster sent a link to my mobile number and said that clicking on it will direct me to the prescription and orthopedic’s doctor appointment. However, I found the page blank. In no time the money was debited from my accounts. The fraudster stole my banking details after they hacked into my mobile when I clicked the link.”
A fraudster hacked into Sandhu’s mobile and gained access to her banking details after she clicked on the link.
