Srinagar: In view of the ever increasing corona cases in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the registration process of Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily stopped by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. The situation is constantly being monitored by the Board and the registration process will be restored once again as soon as the situation improves.

Baba Amarnath's visit to Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to begin on June 28. In view of this, the registration process for the yatra started from 1st April at 446 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank and Yes Bank, while the online process started from 15th April. This time the yatra is scheduled to begin on June 28 and complete on raksha bandhan day on August 22.

Let's say that the corona virus is worsening the situation day by day across the country. Daily corona is breaking its own record. On Wednesday, 3 lakh 14 thousand 835 new patients have been reported in 24 hours. This number of infected people is the highest in the world in a day since the beginning of the corona epidemic. Earlier, the U.S. had recorded the highest number of new infected cases in a day in the world. The United States received 307,570 new patients on January 8, 2021, but now India has come out ahead in this regard.
