Washington: Sikhs are under constant attack in the New York City of the US. This is the second time in 10 days that Sikhs have been attacked. Two Sikhs were attacked by unidentified miscreants in Richmond Hill, Queens, Queens on Wednesday (April 13, 2022), after The Queens of New York. The Sikhs were first brutally beaten with sticks and then their turbans were taken off. According to reports, Nirmal Singh, a 72-year-old Sikh, was earlier targeted.

After that incident, now again two other Sikh people were robbed after being beaten up by the miscreants. New York police have begun investigating the case. Meanwhile, the 'Sikh Civil Rights Organisation' has come forward to help the victims. The organization is providing treatment facilities to the victims. The attacks on the elderly Sikh Nirmal Singh came almost 24 hours after Sikh organisations held a solidarity rally in New York demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the attack.

Meanwhile, according to the New York Police Department Hate Crime Task Force, one of the two people who attacked Nirmal Singh has been arrested. That's where the other one is being searched. Expressing his condolences on the matter, New York City Council member Joan Ariola told QNS, "We are doing everything possible to protect the Sikh community and any religious community from being targeted. According to Ariola, NYPD is constantly working to ensure that they are safe. No hatred of any kind will be tolerated in New York.''
