Washington: US Parliament has passed a resolution. In which it has been said to give shelter to Sikhs and Hindus of Afghanistan in America. The resolution has been passed by the US Parliament, describing Sikhs and Hindus as a 'threatened minority' in Afghanistan. According to the proposal, they have demanded the resettlement of the persecuted religious communities of Afghanistan in America.

According to the PTI, MP Jackie Spear and seven other co-sponsor members have said on the motion tabled in the lower house of the US parliament that the proposal supports refugee protection to Afghan Hindus and Sikhs. It exhibits institutional religious persecution, partiality and existential threat. The resolution states that Sikh and Hindu minorities are a threatened minority in Afghanistan. The proposal is in support of providing refuge to Hindus and Sikhs of Afghanistan in the US under the US Immigration and National Act, under the Refugee Program.

The proposal condemns all terrorist attacks, religious persecution and favouritism with members of these communities in a war-torn country, expressing concern for the safety of Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan. The proposal also mentions other terrorist attacks in Gurudwara and their religious places in Kabul.
