Patna: After loud politics on loudspeakers, now a new discussion has arisen in the political corridors of Bihar. A minister of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has demanded that when there is an arrangement for honorarium and salary for the clerics of the mosques of the state, then why not pay and honorarium to the priest of the temple of Bihar on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. This demand has been raised by BJP leader and Law Minister Pramod Kumar in the government.

Raising questions on this matter, Minister Pramod Kumar has said that the temple registered by the government and the priests of the temple should be given salary. He said that whatever happens, the pundits of the temple should be given salary from the government's side. Not only this, he said that the temples which are registered and which have their own board or committee, they should at least ensure to pay salaries to the priests of the temple. Let us tell you that there are about 10 thousand mosques in Bihar. In which arrangements have been made to give 5 thousand to 18 thousand per month to the Imam and the Mousavi who teaches Namaz.

According to the news received, 100 mosques of the capital Patna are registered under the Siya Waqf Board. Apart from this, there is a system of honorarium for such mosques which are under the Waqf Board. Along with this, a grant of 3 crores is given every year by the Government of Bihar. Now BJP is raising this issue and bringing a new issue to the fore in Bihar. In which the government should give some grant for the salary to the pundits of the temple so that they can also get honorarium.
