PANAJI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is all set to address a public meeting in Ponda, South Goa, tomorrow, April 15,  a BJP officer bearer said in Panaji

Addressing a press conference today, former MP Narendra Sawaikar said that nearly 25,000 people will attend the meeting slated to commence at 4 pm, Sunday. "We are anticipating 25,000 people to attend the public meeting. I urge to people to attend the meeting and listen to the speech of our senior leader," Sawaikar said.

Notably, "The South Goa seat is among 160 constituencies of the country which we lost for few votes. Therefore, the party has concentrated on these constituencies and central leaders have already toured South Goa to take review," Sawaikar,  said, adding that "ahead of the event,  Amit Shah will also meet party leaders at around 3.15 p.m"

"State President Sadanand Tanawade, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and others will speak. Our goal is to take both Goa Lok Sabha seats. Hence, we are moving in that direction. He added that the support of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak party and the eight former Congress legislators who have joined the BJP will undoubtedly aid the party in winning more votes.
